1/27/05 - Today at school she was laying on her back under the baby gym, The teacher stepped away for a few minutes and came back to find Anya had spun herself around and was facing the opposite direction, yet still under the gym. So she has become mobile by spinning and scooting on her back.  She will be rolling over any day now from back to front.  She gets herself propped up on her side and just needs to go over a tad more and  let gravity do the rest.

December 2005 - officially climbing up on the couch and chairs on her own. Getting the remotes and causing havoc.

Off she goes, where she stops....where ever there is a toy! She just loves walking around the house with half an Easter egg in her mouth.

March 3, 2005 - slept 8 hours
March 4, 2005 - slept 11 hours
January 15, 2006 - Anya is 16 months old and still has trouble sleeping. She was sleeping very well for a short period over the summer and then she had tooth after tooth come in. She recently had an ear infection as well and was up about every 2 hrs crying. As of today she is going down about 7:30pm and getting up 1 time somewhere between 3-5am, then back to sleep (after crying and wanting to be held or have a bottle of milk) until about 7am. We are trying to break her of this habit to wake up right now. She doesn't appear to have swollen gums with more teeth on the way, so we think it is just habit at this point.  She should be getting all 4 of  her eye teeth in the next few months and then on to the 2 yr molars. After that we should be good.  We wish she liked the pacifier to comfort her at night, but no way.

Smile:

3/7/05 - says ma ma, ga ga and ba ba

Sucking : September 26, 2004 sucks fists
December 2004  sometimes sucks her thumbs, but usually fists or middle and ring fingers, has no interest in a passy

Swimming: 6/5/05 - Anya's 1st time to the pool was at the YMCA. She floated around in her boat and had a wonderful time kicking her legs and splashing her arms in the water.

3/1/08 - 1st time Anya is taking swim lessons. We signed her up for the beginner class, but 5 min in they moved her up to intermediate. We have been working with her on our own and she is fearless in the water. Anything to keep up with big brother the fish.

Toilet: July 14, 2006 Tinkle Tinkle Little Star
Anya asked to go potty (polly) and DID! in her little toilet.

July 21, 2006 Tinkle Tinkle Little Star, Again
Anya asked to go potty (polly) again to day and was successful. It seems that it is a bit early, but she has been fascinated with all that comes out of her body. She has made several messes at school and home with what she produces. YUK! Maybe it is just a sign that she doesn't like a dirty diaper.

Umbilical Cord:  Lost September, 27 2004
